Publication Ethics

Journal of English Education and Literature is an open access journal that provides readers or their institutions with immediate, global and unfettered access to the full text of all published articles. The reader has the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of all articles in the Journal of Languages​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ and language studies. This journal offers immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a wider global exchange of information. The purpose of this journal is to promote a principled approach to language research and language teaching, encouraging the exploration of the connections between theoretical and practical studies. This code of scientific ethics is an ethical statement for all parties involved in the publishing process of scientific journals, i.e. directors, editors, reviewers and authors. The statement of the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications is based on the Statute No. 5 of 2014 of LIPI on the Ethical Rules for Scientific Publications, which is basically a code of ethics for scientific publications, which basically follows the three ethical values ​​of the publication., namely

  1. Impartiality, which does not include a conflict of interest in the management of publications;
  2. Equality, namely the granting of copyright to those entitled to be the author(s); and
  3. Integrity that does not involve duplication, falsification, falsification and plagiarism of publications (DF2P).

Editor-in-Chief’s Duties and Responsibilities of the

  1. If necessary, specify the name, department, scope and accreditation of the 
  2. Define provider
  3. Defining relationships between publishers, suppliers, best partners and other parties.
  4. Respect the confidentiality of participating researchers, authors, editors and best
  5. Enforces intellectual property rights, especially copyright standards and regulations.
  6. Conduct a journal policy review and send to authors, editors, key partners and readers.
  7. Create a user manual for suppliers and best partners.
  8. Publish magazines
  9. To ensure the availability of financial sources to ensure the sustainability of magazine
  10. Building cooperation and marketing network.

Editor's Duties and Responsibilities

  1. The editor comments on the author and the writing, so that the reader understands what the author means by the comments written on the manuscript
  2. The editor comments on the author and writings according to the EYD language (Enhanced Spelling) or the language corresponding to the journal standard.
  3. The editor constantly tries to improve the quality of publications;
  4. The editor objectively presents freedom of opinion,
  5. The editor forwards corrections, clarifications, cancellations and apologies, if necessary,
  6. The editor ensures that the author's writings are not related to SARA or anything that can damage the Publishing House and coordinate the author's writings with the editor-in-chief of the publishing house, if the writing is somewhat
  7. The editor receives, investigates and deals with complaints from all parties related to the publication of the magazine;
  8. The editor supports initiatives to educate researchers about the ethics of publication,
  9. The editors do not follow their own opinion, the author or third parties, which can lead to non-objective decisions,
  10. The editor encourages the authors that he can improve the magazine until it is worthy of publication.
  11. The editor prepares the layout of the manuscript to be published so that it corresponds to the journal template.
  12. The Editor assisted the Editor-in-Chief in finalizing the manuscript collection prior to printing and publication, particularly in terms of language, formatting and layout.

Reviewer's Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide objective and impartial written feedback on the value of the scholarship and the contribution of the manuscript to the development of science;
  2. Shows whether the writing of the manuscripts sufficiently clear, complete and relevant and whether the manuscript is within the scope of the magazine;
  3. Do not criticize or publish personal comments; and
  4. Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript by not discussing it with other parties or disclosing information contained in the text to other parties.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Website Administrator

The webmaster is the person responsible for managing the magazine's website. The scope of the webmaster's tasks is specifically as follows:

1.      Create the magazine's website;

2.      Configure system settings and manage user accounts;

3.      Registration of editors, reviewers and writers;

4.      manage journal properties;

5.      Show report statistics; and

6.      Upload/publish already approved articles.
